"The Order of The Precious Blood AKA Precious Blood is comprised of frontman Paul Brake (RocketRocketShip, Wastecase), guitarists Cameron Legge (Slowpoke, Anoxia) and Barry O’Keefe (Release the Hounds), bassist Ben Chapman-Smith (Slowpoke, Headloss) and drummer Adam Hearn (Release the Hounds, Faster Than Felix). Precious Blood’s frenetic style can best be described as a horror movie come to life: relentless, punishing and claustrophobic, wielding a jagged dissonance while incorporating an unexpected brew of experimental and pop songwriting techniques." - DIllon Collins, Decibel Magazine


The Order of The Precious Blood, A.K.A. Precious Blood is a blackened hardcore punk band from St John’s Newfoundland Canada. The band spent August 2021 - September 2022 working on pre-production and rehearsing for their debut performance on November 19 2022. “Precious Blood’s Inaugural Blood Ceremony” (Read: debut performance) featured an AR marketing campaign that involved a 3 phase postering campaign, tons of cryptic messages, an interactive component that turned publicly submitted voicemails into audio tracks that were used in their live performances. The campaign also featured “drops” - envelopes that included a unique promotional brochure which granted free entry to the “Blood Ceremony”, a pin, and one of over a dozen unique photographs that led to our instagram account. The result was “The Order of The Precious Blood’s Inaugural Blood Ceremony” on November 19th 2022, the event featured a line up down the street before doors (roughly 24 people), a venue at capacity (48 people) before the first band was on, and more than 120 people crammed in throughout the night to check out a band they didn’t even know the name of. Precious Blood have been playing monthly in St John’s since then.

Precious Blood released their debut EP "I No Longer Wish For Salvation" on June 16th 2023. The EP was recorded by Canadian producer/engineer Krisjan Leslie (Die Mannequin, Billy Talent, Three Days Grace) at the Lab of Chaos Studios. The “I No Longer Wish For Salvation” EP release show on June 16th 2023 featured sponsorship from 9 local businesses. Advertising highlights for the show include: Collaborating with these businesses to distribute the new “drops”. Precious Blood directed their fans to their sponsors and appropriate community events using their instagram and then encouraged fans to share and participate with these stories online. Only 6 “drops” were distributed this time, each featured a golden ticket that gave free entry to the show, 1 free piece of merch, free entry into the raffle at our release show, as well as a usb stick that featured 1 of our unreleased songs and 2 of 4 different horror themed promotional videos (See below). Highlights from the event include: 190 in attendance, raffling away more than $500 of prizes (skateboards, a tattoo gift certificate, access to two festivals, apparel, and more), more than $500 of merch sales, and an excited fanbase.

To further  promote “I No Longer Wish For Salvation” Precious Blood is actively seeking festivals and showcase opportunities in Canada and abroad.
